Rose Milburn was born and bred in North East England and passed the entrance exam to the local Grammar School, which is where she first discovered her love for writing. However, it was much later, after raising her two sons to adulthood, that she wrote her first full length novel, ‘Don’t Judge a Book’, inspired by their experiences of growing up in a once proud community torn apart by the closure of the coal mines.
Rose had been working on her novel for some time but was pushed to finish it after attending a coaching course, which illustrated the importance of setting clear goals and achieving them.
