David Allen Edmonds spent most of his working life as a high school German teacher, but wrote two educational TV series for the Cleveland PBS affiliate, and spent a summer in Hollywood on the writing staff of an ABC-Paramount show, Out of the Blue. Teaching remains his first love, and his experiences in the classroom form the setting for his Joe Lehrer Mysteries, “Personal Pronouns” and “Indirect Objects”.
Now he is officially retired from the classroom and working on the audiobook version of “Indirect Objects”. Future projects include publishing “The Faculty Lounge Stories” his collection of short teacher narratives, a science fiction novel or movie, and perhaps a script for the Hallmark Channel.
When not with his wife, Marie Mirro Edmonds, or his grandchildren, Dave works on promoting his writing and playing golf. His favorite ways to meet people are hosting book clubs and appearing at author events. Last November he spent several hours writing in the showcase window of Apple Tree Books in Cleveland Heights as part of NaNoWriMo. Look for him there next November and at other Cleveland-area Indie Bookstores.
