Told through the eyes of a somewhat quirky pastor, we follow several characters as they discuss and process extraordinary life events. The unique twist here is that a soul is reincarnated multiple times, and can exist in the same time as one of its previous incarnations. Steel’s take on reincarnation is immediately intriguing and only gets deeper as the characters discuss spirituality and their philosophy. I especially loved how real these characters felt as they struggled or pondered. This is a deep and heartfelt novel, and I truly loved how it makes you think as you walk away.
