John Sauer explores humanity at the end of the world as gods and myths clash with The Divided Man! Luke Kimball has been stripped of his soul by the god Manitou and now finds himself in a tug o war battle between gods of many mythologies over the fate of the Tree of Life. I loved the fun and imaginative way Sauer blends the deities and creatures of numerous theologies into one exciting apocalypse! It was fun flipping through to see who would show up. But the action doesn’t get in the way of the depth as Sauer examines the lines between good and evil and just what it means to be human. If you love mythology, post apocalyptic lit, or books with spiritual depth, definitely come clash with the deities in The Divided Man!
