Jena is to be gifted by her father, Silnik Jaccou, to the new ruler of the harbor town of Imfhof, in trade for her brother Jehn who had killed two men. However, there is a new governor (Panhart) and he is not as interested in the trade. Panhart sensing the blood shed that will occur if he doesn’t not accept the gift yields but makes it clear to Jaccou that there will be no future ‘gifts’ of this nature. With this present the future of the Eastern Shore and the Sailors is about to be changed. Will it be for the good?
