The Fall of the Stone Review

The Fall of the Stone

Christine Duts

As time unravels, Christine Duts throws us into an adventure of mythology, monsters, and magic with the ever engrossing The Fall of the Stone!  Our heroes have managed to sacrifice a lot to save all the realms, but their actions have backfired, throwing them into numerous different realms.  Harpy Callie has been thrust into a world of danger and intrigue with the mysterious and lethal MerFolk, and this time she’s lost her memories and transformed into a mortal.  I love the various ways that Duts explores classic mythology while creating new spins with her ever growing mythological universe!  The intrigue is great and always draws me in, and no one is as conniving and shrewd as the MerFolk, making this a twisting adventure set in a larger conflict.  Duts anchors all of this in some great characters with deep emotions that make for a compelling drama amongst the greater intrigue.  All around, if you love mythology, monsters, and deep characters, definitely come battle in the eternal struggle of the Stone with The Fall of the Stone!
