Victor Torvich gives us a wide analysis of humanity’s history, where we’ve been and where we’re going, and the inventions that got us there with Directionality of Humankind’s Development! Torvich guides us through nearly 45,000 years of human development, but I particularly thought the analysis was interesting as it focused on inventions and their impact on different eras. This was really cool, especially when coupled with the book’s encyclopedia of 300 top inventions that altered human history. It’s not necessarily an easy read, but for someone like me who find both inventions and history fascinating, I found it to be a very enlightening study! Then taking the analysis of history, it was really interesting to see Torvich project this into the future, and also highlight a number of things that could derail humanity’s developmental track.
