Captain Ruik must brave the high seas facing off against pirates, epic battles, and a rowdy crew that she must keep in line, not an easy task in a fantasy world where female captains are rare and frowned upon. Aegelis captures all the fun of a good pirate story from loveable characters, to that feeling of mystery and exploration, and of course, epic sea battles! I loved the fantasy setting of this world as it added an extra flare to an already bombastically fun story. If you love pirates, sailing, or high seas fantasy, definitely throw up the main sheet and set sail with X!
