Stray: Breaking Free, Falling Hard, and Growing Stronger

Shannon O’Brien

Shannon O’Brien brings us adventure and meaning with her autobiographical journey through South America and Asia in Stray: Breaking Free, Falling Hard, and Growing Stronger!  Shannon sets out on a journey across South America and Asia, originally just a trip that turns into a journey of self discovery and even survival.  Shannon encounters many adventures, from rescuing animals, to dangerous brushes with drug lords, to love and loss.  O’Brien’s writing beautifully brings these landscapes to life in a vivid way, as well as the challenge of trekking through them.  I truly appreciate and connected with O’Brien through their raw and meaningful emotion.  You feel like you’re also on a journey, and that’s the true power of this novel, where you end up when you finish it.  If you love travel books, autobiographies, or even meaningful self help type books that read more like a novel, definitely come strap on your boots and journey with Shannon in Stray!
