I relish to ruminate, with my impassive glance, the never-ending path of a creek, which gush in the most vivace music played by water and rocks. Music accompanied by the muttering of the leaves, under the direction of the shivering breeze, with the beat of the falling drops over the water film. Intense trained in the art of chill-ax and deep enthusiast of the roasted coffee scent, combined with the emanating petrichor of grass, I am an expert in burning the daylight or contemplating the sky in search for clouds’s patterns.
You know you have issues being a successful slave if:
– You started to hate your job?
– You want more time for yourself and less time for work? (8 to 10 hours per day working – sometimes more too)
– You want to work without fixed schedule constrains?
– You are sick of management, ass kissing and stupid methodologies that does nothing?
– You want to be your own boss?
This manifesto is a satire and need to be treated as is. However, you can change its sense by reading it between lines.

The Portal Keeper
A mysterious portal, which opens at dawn and closes again at dusk, is located deep in the woods and kept secret from the vast majority of the people who inhabit the kingdom of Rastella. Only a few are aware of its existence and fewer understand the confusing prophecy that accompanies it. Now, Ajax Maxwell, who is approaching his 14th birthday and has been in training for the past 2 years, is preparing to fulfill his family’s legacy by becoming the next keeper. But Ajax is afraid. He’s worried that he won’t live up to the expectations placed upon him and will let down his family, like his brother Axel did when he took over from their father and then promptly disappeared. When the prince of Rastella comes to visit for the first time, accompanied by Ajax’s childhood friend Nivara, it doesn’t take long for things to go wrong. In an accident, the prince falls into the portal and Ajax knows that it’s up to him to go and get him back. With the knowledge that nobody who has entered it has ever returned, Ajax and Nivara go through the portal to try to save the prince. But what Ajax finds inside, and what he discovers about the prophecy, will test him to his limits.

Three generations of Applebaum women— in order, recovering alcoholic Ava, hippie Suzanne, and Goth Molly— in one house for two weeks brings about the chance for each of them to stand up for who they really are, once and for all.
18-year-old Molly, with her tattooed, pierced, bleached blond friend Brandon in tow, has revealed that she has an important announcement to make before she heads off to Vassar. 36-year-old Suzanne is convinced that history is repeating itself, and that Molly’s news will make her a 36-year-old grandmother. Ava, despite herself, develops a fervent case of baby fever.
Meanwhile, Buddy McKinley moves in to the house next door. Buddy was once Ava’s late husband’s business partner, and the man she blames for the failing of the business–which, she claims, ruined her husband’s life and “turned me into a fall-down drunk”.
However, after a little digging, Suzanne finds out that Buddy and Ava’s past goes much farther back that either has admitted . . . does Ava truly “blanking” hate Buddy, or are those rabid feelings covering up something just as intense?
When Molly finally makes her grand announcement, Suzanne reacts in a way no one, least of all herself, was prepared for. And it takes a head to head fiery confrontation to find out exactly why Suzanne’s suddenly avoiding her only child.
It’s a tale about love, truth, family, and accepting people for who they are . . . and more importantly, who they’re not.
Quoleena Sbrocca (pronounced Kwo-LEE-nuh Su-BROH-kuh) is the author of two alternate history/time travel novels, and a young adult futuristic/sci-fi series. She is currently working on the final book in the trilogy. She is a Denver native, lover of photography, training for her second-degree black belt in taekwondo, and dreams of one day owning a horse. She is afraid of heights, but if she were an animal, she would be an eagle. Luminescence, book one of her YA sci-fi series The Rayne Trilogy, is a B.R.A.G. Medallion honoree and earned a Readers’ Favorite 5-star review. Quoleena has loved creative writing since she was a child. In 3rd grade, she won a scholastic award for her illustrated short story called, “Little Girl Lost.” She wrote poetry and short stories during her guitar-playing college days in San Diego, all of which she keeps buried in a box of memories. Her favorite books to read tend to be in the days of horse-drawn carriages and noble courts. And she absolutely loves books set in worlds void of technology and unlike our own, with swords and magic and mystical creatures.
I started writing full time in 2012 after years of denying my desire to be creative. I’m a military wife so it’s always a question of what city will I move to next? To keep active I participate in 5km races and hope to graduate to marathons and possibly Spartans one day. I adore immortals, magic, and dragons, I enjoy TV entirely to much, and video games just the right amount. My adoration for magic and dragons can be seen clearly in my Mechanical Dragons series and my love for immortals in my Guardians books.
I’m a rocket scientist and aspiring science fiction author. My first novel is hard sci-fi and features interplanetary space travel, asteroid mining, manned Mars missions, and first contact with highly advanced aliens.
Pamela Schloesser Canepa
As a child, Pamela’s family moved around a lot, so she started writing poems and stories as a child to provide entertainment for long trips. After a while, her family settled in the southeast. Pamela’s genres include sci-fi and speculative fiction, and poetry of all types. “Made for Me” is Pamela’s first published work of fiction and was followed by a sequel in 2016. Both are now also available in print. Pamela’s first full-length time travel novel, Detours in Time, has been published in e-book and print as of June 2017! Pamela is planning a sequel to Detours in Time and an origin story for Norrie from Made for Me, as well as a few other ideas. Stay tuned!

She has been writing since childhood, always looking for the next story to tell. Writing is as natural a part of life for her as breathing. She loves getting to know her characters and bringing them to life. She is in as much anticipation about the ending of a story as she hopes her readers are.

My name is Raja and I am a first time author from India. I have just released my first fantasy novel, Age of Azmoq: The Valantian Imperium, which is the first of a 5 part Age of Azmoq series.
Azmoq is the rarest and most coveted metal on the planet. It’s the ultimate source and symbol of real power, and the Valantian Imperium controls it all. Or so they thought… For the first time in generations, the Valantian Imperium, masters of the Valantian continent glimpse the first tremors of fear. There are rumors abound. Rumors of legends. Legends of both ancient Azmoqian weapons and men of godly powers, long thought to be myths. As these rumors grow, a small group of people, from various walks of life, some commoners, some within the mighty Valantian Imperium itself, by pure coincidence, have set in motion a chain of events. The legends, if true, along with these set of events, might reignite the flames of a revolution. A revolution the Imperium had long suppressed. A revolution that might alter the balance of power in the continent, and eventually the entire world…

Discover the epic story of old Hawaii James Michener never told. The Hawaiian people lived in an isolated Garden of Eden and fought over it for centuries. One day, strangers came from beyond the horizon on floating islands. At first, the Hawaiians thought they were gods. Having no metal of their own, they marveled at the visitors’ iron daggers, axes, muskets, and cannons. One man, Kamehameha, was the first among the Hawaiians to understand that the strangers’ arrival had transformed everything for his people. He would go on to use these new weapons to defeat his rivals, unite the Hawaiian Islands, and found a new kingdom at the crossroads of the Pacific Ocean.

Originally from the United Kingdom, I now reside in Germany, although I freely admit to having part of my heart left in Wales. I am the author of the fantasy series, World of Wraidd Elfennol, and also the contemporary, women’s fiction novella, Disjointed Lives. Whilst a writer mainly in the fantasy genre, I am more than happy to share my love of reading amongst the many different genres out there, and can always be found with a book close by. As well as reading and writing, I spend my time looking after my family and trying to learn German. Unfortunately, a natural aptitude for languages doesn’t appear to be one of my strong points. However, stubbornness is, so I continue to persevere. So far, I am confident enough to order a beer and a pretzel. Feel free to email me at MorganJSheppard@gmail.com or stalk me online on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.

The Solar Empire spans more than fifty galaxies and a hundred thousand years of history. Its military, economic, and industrial power can shape or destroy entire civilizations even beyond its own borders. Those who have seen its influence firsthand call these political tides the Solar Winds. But in the Hourglass Galaxy resides a nation that stands against the wind, the Interstellar Combine. Now these two intergalactic superpowers are embroiled in a cold war for dominance of the region. Simmonne, the carefree daughter of the Solar Emperor, is tasked with a public relations mission to welcome refugees fleeing Combine occupation. The enigmatic Robert Panzer, a metapsion of enormous telepathic and telekinetic abilities, is assigned as her protector. Frustrated by her inability to perceive his emotions, Simmonne is unaware that she might require protection from him most of all. Within the Hourglass, newly minted Lieutenant Jonathan Clearwater balances his role as an officer of the Solar Legionnaires and his fraying family life. Meanwhile Oul’sor, a Warlord of the Combine, is resurrected to seek vengeance for the death of his son at Panzer’s hands. And near the center of power, Simmonne’s weak-willed and jaded brother Steven is tempted to corruption by the power of the Encephalon. The characters must work together – or against one another – as the cold war between intergalactic superpowers threatens to turn hot, all under the eye of an entity older than the universe itself. If they fail, the Encephalon’s power will consume far more than the trillions of lives in the Hourglass Galaxy.
Born in 1991, I have always found history fascinating. Growing up, the idea of “other worlds” and “paranormal creatures” have also gained my interest. Using both of these together, along with politics and psychology, I have created the first of a 4-book series named The Grate. The Grate is about life after WWIII, when the USA chooses to create a new capital. Inside of the Grate, life is far far from perfect, as they wage war on their own citizens, and even conducting scientific experimentation on the Mentally Ill. When the main character, Sarah, finds herself in the hospital after a terror attack, she recalls her moments leading to her stay. When she begins having paranormal encounters, she is taken to the Mental Hospital, Ward Seven. There she must work hard to break free. But how can she escape when those meant to protect her are now out to kill her?
I truly hope that this book will make people think about perspective, and how we can work together to create societal norms and help each other grow in compassion. Currently this book, which is the first of the series, is Edition 1, although I do know that another Edition will be required so that I may feel satisfied with it. I hope that you enjoy it also. (By the way, if you have the Kindle Unlimited, it is absolutely free to read for you)!

Cameron Wayne Smith
Hailing from the land where people wrestle crocodiles for sport and utilise kangaroos for transport, Cameron Wayne Smith is the author you’ve been searching for—possibly your entire life, or perhaps a few clicks before you found this page. Cameron has spent his adult life travelling and learning about the world while working in a huge variety of jobs. Seriously, at just over 30, Cameron has worked in libraries and fighter jets, been a tour guide in Central Australia and North Queensland, and engaged in all sorts of miscellaneous employment. Best known for his Holtur series, Cameron writes fast-paced action stories set in fantasy worlds. His stories are garnished with a hint of horror and a modest sprinkling of hilarity. Cameron’s hobbies include travel, skydiving, snorkelling, bush-walking, pet-sitting, and brewing his own beer. He also loves the geeky, fantasy, and science fiction stuff that you can find in books, games, and on screen.

See how good it can get: Perfect Timing, a romp of a book plus a powerful way to improve our lot (a Citizen’s Dividend). It’s like Callenbach’s classic, Ecotopia, but comedic with surprising twists. (BTW, Ernest C. edited my nonfiction work, may he RIP). Perfect Timing conveys the tone of Hitchhiker’s Guide, offers insights like Stranger in a Strange Land, and presents an upbeat alternative, unlike Brave New World. Caterer Crik Duvall is bewildered. In the city he thought he knew, suddenly buildings grow, people incorporate animal powers, smart phones know it all, and vehicles defy gravity. He’s been accidentally transported to a future where he’s unwanted. To keep their past intact, the future’s authorities must return Crik to the moment he left, a moment when he was dodging gunfire. That is, unless he can show he was vital to progress. With his cat-woman guide, Tepper — could she be his distant descendant? — the duo dash around to suss out what makes Geotopia work so well for people and planet. Vigilante Voltak, protector of the status quo, pursues them to return the “Pastian” runaway before his allotted 24 hours are up. If by then Crik can prove he’s their Founder, he’ll be a celebrity in his new time.
Flirting with a pretty girl takes another turn when Jake discovers she’s a shackled spirit. Irene was raised in the voodoo faith by her Haitian grandmother, but never expected to become trapped in the spirit world she grew up believing in. When Jake encounters her captor, he is forced into that same spirit world. Jake learns that the girl he’s falling for is fading away because she has been trapped by the sorcerer for too long. Armand has no plans to release Irene and intends to use her soul to help him capture Baron Samedi, the voodoo loa of death, and releasing the dead themselves. But doing so would ravage both worlds. When several of the loa fall under the sorcerer’s control, the spirit world becomes chaotic and unsafe. And as Armand’s plan succeeds, the battle being fought in the spirit world makes its way to Jake and Irene’s home.

Longtime detective Stanford Carter and his wife, forensic scientist Jill Seacrest, have always felt one was the yin to the other’s yang. Carter is formal, logical, detached and incredibly reserved. As team leader, he displays an unflagging commitment to duty, a keen sense of logic and strategy, and the poker face of a true champion. Despite his ardent desire to learn the secrets of the universe and its plan for us all, the introspective student of Zen demonstrates an extraordinary inability to understand himself or anyone else. Seacrest, on the other hand, is a scientific steamroller, often intimidating even the most seasoned veteran agents. Possessing a strong and fiery personality, her determination to find the truth often clashes with a quick and sarcastic wit, a fiery personality, and the tendency to leap before she looks. Together, they’ve made the tough decision to leave their home town of Boston to move to the Big Apple, where they have accepted new positions with the F.B.I. to help solve a string of murders. When Shania Deeprose joins the team, the overly enthusiastic, down-to-earth rookie from Alabama provides a spark that forges the immediate and unbreakable bonds of heart, mind, and courage. In this stand-alone mystery/thriller the team must break the biggest case of their careers while confronting personal and social truths that change them forever. Will they be able to expose a secret so old and far reaching that it has already begun to impact the very fabric of society? I’m a former internal audit manager and now a full-time novelist. I love traveling, especially on ships, to explore new ports of call. When I’m not living out of a suitcase, I’m home in Philadelphia with my Danish husband and cats.
Born in New Zealand to a Brit and an Australian, I am an emerging writer with a passion for all things storytelling. I love reading, writing, TV and movies, gaming, and spending time with family and friends. I am an avid fan of British comedy, superheroes, and SuperWhoLock. I have too many favourite books, but I fell in love with reading after Isobelle Carmody’s ‘Obernewtyn’. I am obsessed with all things mythological – my current focus being old-style Irish faeries. I write YA novels in a variety of genres – one day I hope to have published in every genre. I live in Adelaide with my long-suffering husband, delirious dog, mad cat, two guinea pigs, three chickens, and turtle.

The well-meaning and meddlesome Mr. and Mrs. Aden want nothing more than to protect their only daughter, Hannah.
After her childhood kidnapping in Somalia and a final showdown in Italy against the monster responsible, nineteen-year-old Hannah just wants back the life stolen from her.
She isn’t naïve like her mother believes. Frequent flashes of past terrors assure her that the healing process is far from over. At the same time, she’d hardly use her dad’s words and call herself “strong” or “brave.” That description belongs to Melissa Bennett, the woman who almost died saving her.
Melissa doesn’t feel much like the hero she’s being hailed.
While she is glad to have saved a life for once, the one she’d almost taken continues to haunt her dreams and stall her recovery.
Despite her good deed and continuous help from friends and family abroad and Kyle—the father of her little girl—she knows her days of freedom are numbered.
As an independent author, to date I have published four stand-alone novels plus the first four volumes in an evolving saga, where readers are invited to contact me and suggest possible plot lines for their favourite characters. I am currently working on the fifth volume in the series, part of which was suggested by one of my readers! Hoping to hear from more of you soon 🙂

My book, “Mostly Rapscallions,” proves beyond reasonable doubt that learning history can be fun. It is real history, but also biography and humor.
I’m the indie author of Abundance, an endearing adult contemporary romance novel that showcases the healing power of love in the face of tragedy. I live in Georgia but love to travel. I read my first romance novel at the age of thirteen and began writing at fourteen. I love to be enthralled in a book and feel what my characters feel. Books help you to dream, and I’ve always been a dreamer! When I’m not working on my next novel or have my head buried in a book, I enjoy watching movies and pro football, practicing yoga, listening to all genres of music, being on the water, and hanging out with my own “knight in shining armor.”
