Lycanthrope Rising: The True Story behind the Werewolf-Vampire Wars, Book 2 in the Toronto Vampire Chronicles but absolutely a stand-alone novel
The horror thriller follows the events in Late Bite, Book I in the series, unveiling through different perspectives the lead up and arrest of Dragul Mangorian, the sole surviving member of a human subspecies named the Homo Sanguinus. The arrest of what the media calls ‘a real vampire’ creates a sensation globally but in Toronto, a city that prides itself for promoting diversity, there’s no talk of a stake in heart. Instead, he’s given a lawyer and a phalanx of supporters line up to ensure his human rights are protected. All this lovey dove treatment pisses off an ancient and terrifying enemy, The Lycanthrope Clan. The Lycans are a special breed of humans whose mastery of technology, animalistic ferocity and alliance with wolves saved mankind from enslavement by the Sanguinus 30,000 years ago. After the Lycans learned of the Sanguinus’ secret vulnerability, they eradicated their enemy and believed them extinct until Mangorian’s arrest. The problem facing the Lycans is, they’ve been fat cats for generations and now have to get their mean up to speed. Mangorian meanwhile has cozied up to government scientists who want to unlock secrets in his genome. He’s 208 years old and is immune to cancer and blood borne pathogens. In exchange, the scientists give Mangorian fertility support to help him revive his species with Skyla, a woman whose physiology makes her a one in a billion match to bear his children. The rich and powerful Lycans recruit former playboy Tim Gracey and his stripper girlfriend Rita to lead murderous forces that will stop at nothing to keep Mangorian and Sklya from mating. Notes: Some of the events of the first novel Late Bite are repeated in this novel but are through the eyes of others to provide an entirely different take, sort of like the classic Japanese film Rashomon that tells the same story three times, each taking the same events but creating a different story.

In a different creative vein, he has been a make-up artist and prop maker for theater groups, local film-makers and haunts. Troy McCombs has been writing since the young age of nine, when his third grade teacher had her students write a short story for class credit. He was hooked instantly, and knew that’s what he wanted to do with his life. As a very frightened child and teen, he took special solace in the horror genre, often dreaming up scary worlds filled with imaginary monsters in order to deal with a crippling anxiety disorder he’s had all his life. He also writes coming-of-age dramas and screenplays. His favorite authors include Lovecraft and Stephen King. He’s even got posters of them on his wall, there to inspire him whenever he needs some extra motivation.
Aside from writing, Troy enjoys working out, playing guitar, reading, watching movies–and hoping to produce some, one day–and spending lots of time with his four-legged friend, Lolly, in West Virginia.
Hi my name is Sharon, My book is called In the Shadows, it is about Kiki, a ordinary happy teenager, the only thing that marks Kiki as different is her complete belief in her imaginary friend Gabe, but Gabe is gone now,and in his stead are vile creatures from her worse nightmares.
‘I’ve experienced all the different roles you have to play when there’s nobody else around: a parent, a dad, a father, a stand-in mum, a confidant, always a butler or maid, a teacher and, most crucially, a friend.’ In this enlightening but also very practical book, Roger McEwan shares the lessons he’s learned from years as a solo dad. It is not, he insists, a self-help book. But amidst the rich, always fascinating, often hilarious experiences of his times with his two children are dozens and dozens of useful pieces of advice for parents – from developing a great relationship with your ex (if you can) to letting the children pick the clothes they want to wear, teaching them to cook, and acknowledging that changing a toilet roll is too complex for anyone under the age of eighteen to understand.

I write historical fiction. I live in Cincinnati with my husband and two boys. I received a bachelor’s in English from Wittenberg University, and a master’s in Library Science from Atlanta University. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, small business owner and author, I worked in Georgia and North Carolina as a librarian for several years. My latest novel is Desere: A Love Story of the American South.
Deseré, a skilled seamstress and slave, lives on a South Carolina cotton plantation. Fair-skinned and astonishingly beautiful, she is owned by a kindly master and given his permission to marry the man she loves, a carpenter enslaved on a neighboring plantation. Yet when her master dies before her wedding and his nephew inherits the plantation and its slaves, Deseré’s marriage is indefinitely postponed, pending consent from her new owner. Lawyer Anthony Sinclair arrives from Ohio on the mend from a broken heart, leaving behind a career derailed by scandal. Owning a plantation presents a vibrant opportunity. Yet torn by inklings of abolitionist beliefs, Anthony struggles with the damning prospect of owning human beings. Upon first seeing the alluring Deseré, Anthony is immediately dazzled by her golden skin, shimmering blond hair and ocean blue eyes. Yet Deseré perceives the tall, dark-haired and handsome “Masta” Anthony as rather stupid. He knows nothing about running a plantation, nor being a planter. But as long as he allows Deseré to marry the man she loves, she will be happy. Anthony, however, desires Deseré for himself. To what lengths will he go to win the forbidden love of a slave? Will owning Deseré be the only way Anthony can ever possess her while her heart belongs to another man?
In April of 2014, former edibleRed vocalist Collette McLafferty had the shock of her life when a gig in a P!NK cover band dragged her into a $10,000,000 lawsuit. The Plaintiff, a personal injury attorney who once played drums for Michael Bolton, had a dispute with her band leader claiming he stole the lawyer’s idea to start Long Island’s first P!NK cover band. Although she had never met the attorney, McLafferty found herself named in the 112-page complaint. Stunned to learn she could be in a years-long court battle, Collette made the difficult decision to take her case to the press. She made a late night phone call to The New York Post in hopes of leaving a message. To her surprise, a copy boy was eating lunch at the Tip Desk during the graveyard shift. Although the dispute was mostly between the two men, Collette woke up to the headline “Singer Sued for Being Too Old and Too Ugly for P!NK Cover band” in the paper. The sensationalized headline told a story of a singer who was so “old, ugly and untalented” that her one-night performance prompted the lawyer to sue. This “fake news” version of events went viral worldwide, garnering coverage in Time, Yahoo News and Brietbart. The headlines alleged she“ruined” the P!NK cover band with her inferior looks and singing, triggering a deep depression. Determined to find justice, McLafferty fought the case and eventually introduced “Collette’s Law” with the help of The Lawsuit Reform Alliance of New York and Assemblyman Luis Sepulveda. “Confessions of a Bad, Ugly Singer” documents the emotional two-year journey of navigating the legal system, while embarking on a quest to clear her name.
My books fall mostly under the supernatural genre, most recently my novella “Bittersweet Symphony”, about the employees of an advertising agency being haunted by odd occurrences in an ultramodern office building.
Blurb: A senator’s son is found dead in his bed, with a look of extreme agony on his face and strange tattoos all over his body. Enter Felix the Fox: neither a traditional detective nor a traditional magician – but something in between.
This is a story of Togas, Daggers and Magic – for lovers of Murder Mysteries, Ancient Rome and Urban Fantasy.
Bio: Assaph has had his nose in a book since he was five, and had to yell at the librarian that he can read already so he could get a card. With a rather diverse taste in reading – from fantasy to philosophy, from ancient times to the far future – his first novel Murder In Absentia is an “historically-themed urban high-fantasy hardboiled murder mystery, with just a dash of horror”.
Assaph now lives in Sydney, Australia with his wife Julia, four kids and two cats. By day he is a software product manager, bridging the gap between developers and users, and by night he’s writing – he seems to do his best writing after midnight.

My name is A.C. Miller and I’ve been a writer since as far back as I can remember. I started with short stories as a kid, then I hit that poetry phase in high school and now, I focus all my attention on my current unnamed YA Dystopian trilogy. The first book in the series (also, my debut novel), entitled “Nimbus” was released on Nov. 22nd, 2017, and my grandma told me I need to hurry up and get the second one out, or I’m not invited to dinner anymore.
I have 12 ebooks that run into the future. Two very near the present (Puppeteer and ‘Bot War) are more technothriller than scifi, while those from “Red Gold” onwards are scifi, although they add something else in terms of what we might care to avoid in the future. “Troubles” lies somewhere in between – it is set at a time when society is emerging from a massive economic collapse due to government debt and energy shortages thanks to previous terrorism (in ‘Bot War). Just to be more confusing, “Athene’s Prophecy” and “Legatus Legionis” involve a reboot to the first century, and almost qualify as historical. The scifi qualifies as hard (but hopefully not difficult).
Lisa C Miller
“Godly Inspirations for the Troubled Soul” and “Inspirations from Heaven’s Gate” are poetry books written to reveal the beauty of life and simplicity of Christ to the ordinary person, the disconnected, the broken and lost souls of humanity. They bring hope and encouragement for daily living. Bible verses are sprinkled throughout the pages of these books to show people the treasure they really are and the promise of another day.

When I turned 50, two years ago, I wanted to do something crazy. Since I did a lot of dog rescue, I thought I would write a short story about that. It’s true everyone has a story to tell! I now have two series. One is a middle-grade fantasy about a young girl who pet-sits magical animals. I am currently working on the third book in an adult crime thriller, with a young woman who turns vigilante against animal abusers.

Page Museum contains a glass-enclosed laboratory nicknamed the “Fish Bowl” where visitors can see scientists at work cleaning and categorizing current fossil discoveries. Visitors will discover wonders as they meander through the Pleistocene gardens, view an Ice Age film, and gaze down into the pits – but Be careful! Watch out for those tar seeps.

Beauty, passion, art, fear, and love all had their hands in the composition of the ladies’ song—a song that reveals the deepest layer of each one’s being.
Hi, I am Sujata Morab from India. “Dancing Stars” is my debut book. In short, my book is a “STORY OF STARS DANCING TO THE TUNES OF THE WHIMSICAL UNIVERSE………….”
I’m an author of five independent novels and working on numbers six and seven. My most recently published book this year is the start to a new series I’m writing called The Pious Insurrection. Book one, The Reaping, explores several protagonists of different religions, with each religion bestowing different magical properties but enforcing different laws. These laws often cause each faction to clash, either among themselves or each other. This book particularly explores two young neophytes as they are forced to conduct a violent mission called The Reaping, but in doing so, question their own morals in the process. There’s magic, monsters, politics, and lots of action. While it’s a huge subject, The Reaping has been kept small enough to acquaint readers with the world and understand the main characters, without committing to a huge epic right off the bat.

I am a 16-year veteran in the US Army. I’m an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officer. I began writing during my second deployment after seeing so many stories that were derivatives of other stories. I decided I should try and do something different. My first book series, Bystanders, is about a city with a growing superhero population. The main hero’s identity isn’t known by the characters nor the readers. The story is told from the perspective of the various “innocent” bystanders, including cops, paramedics, surgeons, media, drug dealers, mob bosses, and fanboys. I’m a father of three and a husband of 12 years. My other hobbies include movies, video games, and adrenaline-inducing activities such as roller coasters and skydiving.
