Rescued By the Captain is a 75,000-word Historical Romance set in the early 1800’s. It is the story of Marcus Thornhill and Ivy Mallory, childhood friends that have spent years apart denying their love. They rediscover their love while searching for Ivy’s missing brother Charles that has been working undercover in a treason plot against the Crown.
Captain Marcus Thornhill never imagined he would find a woman floating unconscious in a lifeboat out in the open sea. But this wasn’t just any woman. This was Ivy, the woman that he loved and abandoned seven years ago. As Marcus rescues Ivy he gets involved in a treason plot that will bring the war to his beloved shores of England. As he unravels the plot he is unable to deny his desire for Ivy. As he gives into the desire he concludes that he was not going to lose her or her love again.
Ivy Mallory loved Marcus her whole life, but he rejected her love seven years ago. While he was away working for the Crown, she embraced the London Seasons trying to forget him. When her brother Charles starts to behave suspiciously, Ivy begins to follow him. When she hears of a plot against her brother she tries to warn him but gets caught by the mastermind of the treason. When her kidnapper leaves her for dead in the middle of the sea, the one man who rescues her is the one that she can no longer trust but still loves.
I am a Welsh girl currently living in sunny Turkey 🙂 I started writing a number of years ago, and especially love the research aspect of my historical books. Vikings; Taken is the first in the ‘Great Heathen Army’ series, although it can be read as a stand-alone. It follows the lives of Rosfrith Guader, a mistress of Dunwich Fortress in East Angles, and Ubba Ragnarsson, Viking Chieftain of Ranaricii.
CeDany is a former Document Specialist who became a full-time mother, then turned to full-time writing. Became Indie Writer/Author from the beginning, as her writings did not copy anyone’s styles. It’s never been done in this fashion, so, unique!
She lives in a wee village by the Clyde in beautiful leafy Scotland with her husband and four children (2 Humans and 2 Kittens – smile!). On 21 January 2017, her beloved son and youngest passed away, aged 26, after spending 3 months and 20 days in hospital. Gone too young, too soon, sadly missed Sonshine called Georges. An aggressive cancer that couldn’t be beaten…
When not writing, she can be found enjoying reading copiously and correcting/editing grammar and perfecting the Epub format, playing virtual farming games, Archery in the back garden, and wondering when she’ll get noticed according to her lucky stars.
Her signature lets you know her favourite subjects – Witches and Vampires as follows: BB, V-V!
CeDany is her pen name as she is a very private person. She would love to hear from readers. Drop her a note on her contact page.
Crying, the Nightingale:
Love and the dark side of L.A collide in this noir inspired romance.
It’s 1950 and Warren Harlan’s father has died. Returning to his hometown in order to attend the funeral and comfort his grieving mother Warren is plagued by the recurring dream of a faceless woman. Lonely and seeking distraction from his loss Warren enters the Gilded Rose, a popular Los Angeles Nightclub hoping to find the phantom girl who inhabits his every thought. Just when it seems she will remain nothing but an illusion Warren lay’s eyes on the club’s star singer, a glamorous blonde called Moira Lily. And learns there is more to her than her stunning looks or angelic voice because Moira is a songbird trapped in a cage and only Warren… can set her free.
Shakira had never felt at home growing up in Surrey, but as soon as she entered the quaint Welsh village she knew she belonged. Maybe it was because of the welcoming villagers. Or perhaps it was the presence of the others whom she sensed nearby; the ones she saw in her dreams, with their strange glowing eyes.
Fate is not always kind. It gives with one hand and takes with the other. There is a reason she didn’t grow up with her own kind.
A rich tale of witchcraft, fae, sorcery, elinefae and dragons; this is a story for all who dare to believe.
