I enjoyed reading Abundance! Set on a horse farm in Texas, the story follows Natalie Cameron and Jack Kinsen as they explore a new and emotional relationship in the wake of unspeakable tragedy. Natalie, emotionally shattered by her ex-husband’s actions, returns to her parents’ home seeking comfort and a fresh start for her and her daughter, Dallie. What Natalie isn’t prepared for, though, is her parents’ foreman, Jack, and the complicated emotions that she begins to feel.
Shanna Swenson did a beautiful job conveying the depths of Natalie’s turmoil as she protects her daughter, guards her heart, and slowly builds trust with the handsome foreman whom her parents adore. And on the flip side, Jack is the perfect southern gentleman – rugged and strong, respectful to women (and everyone else he interacts with), and incredibly loyal. The chemistry and romantic tension between Natalie and Jack is logical, powerful, and real… and builds until the two absolutely cannot keep away from each other anymore!
This sizzling southern romance is a wonderful start from Shanna Swenson, and I’m looking forward to following these characters more in Return to Abundance!
Abundance: An endearing romance novel, was such a lovely read. It had heart, excitement, angst, redemption, the list goes on and on. I came across this new author by chance on goodreads, and once I read her bio, I knew this book was for me. It was a bit longer than most of my reads but was filled with so many twists and turns it felt like a new book several different times but maintains a cohesive story. You can’t help but fall in love with Jack and his no games attitude. The little girl, Dallie, is just the sweetest and you can see why everyone loves her. Natalie, the MC had me pulling out my hair several times, but she had me liking her in spite of this. If you enjoy love stories, cowboys with a little thriller on the side, I will recommend you take a trip to Abundance and visit the Starlight Valley Stables, you won’t be disappointed.
